HEAD OF SALES

 
Reporting to the Sales Area Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the assigned annual commercial targets, obtaining sales agreements and supplying wind generators to customers.
 
The performance duties include:
 
  • Monitor and control of the commercial targets, in terms of sales of megawatts, for the assigned geographical area. Knowledge of the assigned area’s market development in the long and the short term, as well as the trade and legal framework for commercial and wind energy activity.
  • Knowledge of the customers´ state of affairs, mainly electrical companies and promoters: finances, licenses, agreements with other competitor suppliers,” who’s who” in the company.
  • Benchmarking and market supervision: commercial offers and contracts of our competitors (scope, pricing, terms and conditions, bonds…, etc).
  • Participation in professional trade fairs related to the wind industry.
  • Identifying top strategic customers and successfully building relationships, aiming to reach long-term commercial or master agreements.
  • Working closely with other sales team members and throughout the company, to successfully integrate commercial proposals and supply agreements, containing complex technical, economic and legal information.
  • Interfacing with customers and providing solutions in the development of commercial agreements with top utilities and wind farm promoters, throughout the whole process -from the contract signature, to the end of the period of guarantee. Ensuring perfect coordination with other departments within Gamesa, such as Construction (execution times, quality, costs, claims management, negotiation of penalties) and Services (machinery availability and management of the Operation & Maintenance stage) to meet the customers’ expectations. Coordinating the intervention of the Engineering, Quality or Financial departments when necessary.
  • Making sure customers meet their contractual obligations.
  • Collaborating in the annual sales/assembly briefings towards the global budget, and participating in the launch of new products and customer monitoring.
  • Reporting annually, biannually, monthly and weekly to senior management.
 
Minimum requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Additional business management courses or an MBA is desirable.
  • Languages: Polish and English at a proficiency level are required; knowledge of other languages (Spanish or French) is desirable.
  • Work experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in Commercial departments, preferably with highly technically complex products, within the mentioned markets.
  • Previous working experience in the wind sector, energy, manufacturing, capital goods, car industry or equivalent is desirable.
  • A proven track record of success: identifying new market opportunities, managing the sales and specification process that lead to orders, excellent communication skills and understanding of customers and resources management capability.
 
The remuneration will be negotiated depending on the experience of the candidates.
